Lately, I have been feeling the urge to have a glass of wine a little earlier and earlier each day. Is there even an alcohol etiquette during a quarantine? My days have been consisting of waking up, checking Instagram and Facebook, checking my emails, reaching out to clients, web designing, maybe working out, and then binge-watching anything that seems interesting on TV while indulging in a casual whole bottle of wine. I recently took a much-needed drive out to Sagaponack to visit one of my favorite wineries, Wolffer Estate. The Hampton’s fresh air was necessary for my sanity and thanks to Wolffer, I was able to stay in my car from start to finish and purchase some of their most loved goodies…
Here are my top 5 quarantine wines that have been keeping me sane:
This wine is my liquid sunshine. Their vinyerd is also my favorite to visit out in Long Island’s Wine Country. It is balanced with fresh fruit, fine tannins and captures the taste of summer in the Hamptons. Their bottle design also makes for the perfect photo opp. Wolffer has their Wine Stand open for curbside pickup with case discounts available or order online and get it delivered right to your doorstep.

I was introduced to Miraval by one of my favorite bloggers/influencers, Sivan Ayla. The bottle is clean, crisp and classy, just like the feeling you get when drinking it. The color is a gorgeous pink that has soft and shiny reflections. The first tasting notes hit you with a mineral freshness and has delicate notes of citrus, red fruits and white flowers. I have struggled to find this rosé at any Long Island, but the new Babylon Village Wines, located off of Cooper Street is now my go to place.

Created in Napa Valley, CA this red is one of my go to when heading to the liquor store. A full body that is rich and focused with juicy blackberry and cherry fruit, cocoa and hints of mint. This is one of my favorites because it doesn’t have that hard alcohol bite at the finish. Defintiely good for a rainy quarantine night while cozied up on the couch. It can be purchased at pretty much any liquor store on Long Island.

My go to party gift when heading to someone’s house and it is always a fan favorite. This Cab is Coppola’s signature red wine and is layered with flavors of blackberry, cassis and roasted espresso. Claret is a Cabernet-Sauvignon based wine, which is blended in the classic Bordeaux style. I love how it pairs well with many dishes and when it is chilled just a bit, this wine is next level.

For anyone who knows me, knows that Vueve is my FAVORITE liquid that has ever been created. Started by a baddass women, Madame Clicquot makes a product that screams luxury while bringing it to the consumer at a resonable price. The Yellow Label bottle is the signature of the company’s quality and style. A combination of Pinot Nior, Meunier and Chardonnay creates the perfect bubbly to pair with seafood, fish, pasta and cheeses such as gouda, comte and montagne. I was introduced to Vueve by my Grandmother and have been hooked ever since. My most recent memory was enjoying a bottle and convsersation at The Carlyle’s Bemelmans Bar over Christmas time this year.
